I wrote a prayer that I've been using to pray for America (as a non-American). I'd like to share in case it's useful for anyone else.

Father, I praise you as the sovereign ruler of the world. Jesus, I praise you as the King of kings and Lord of lords. Thank you that to you “the nations are like a drop from a bucket, and are accounted as the dust on the scales”.

But I also thank for your love and care for all nations and all people—including the great nation of America. Please overrule so this election will be conducted fairly and safely, and so true and accurate results are obtained. Please allow the result to be determined quickly, and with no contention, so that the nation can move forward and its people be kept safe. Please bind up the evil one, and please thwart the plans of any who intend to act dishonestly, illegally or violently in the days ahead.

Please provide the nation with a government that will act with justice and fairness for all citizens at all levels. Please work through the government to provide genuine freedom of religion so that your people can live for you without hindrance or restriction, and so they may freely make known the wonderful news of Jesus’ death and resurrection.

Whoever is elected president, please turn that person’s heart towards you in humility and faith. Please surround the new president with wise advisers. Your word says, “The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the LORD; he turns it wherever he will.” Please turn the next president’s heart towards righteousness. Give the new president an abundance of wisdom, and cause him or her to act with integrity at all times.

Father, you alone know what is truly and ultimately in the best interests of America and its people. I trust you. And yet based on my own imperfect knowledge and understanding, I believe Donald Trump being elected president would be the best outcome. And so I humbly ask that you might overrule so that he is elected.

In the days, months and years ahead, please be at work across America so that your word would speed ahead and be honoured, so that many would be saved, and so that your people may live peaceful and quiet lives, godly and dignified in every way. Above all, please bring honour and glory to Jesus. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

.@BernieSanders , it is a time to celebrate. @elonmusk has created enormous value for society by building @SpaceX, driving down the cost of rocket launches and creating a global satellite communication network that has brought high speed, low-cost internet and communication access to hundreds of millions and eventually billions of people along with critical advantages for our military and our nation’s defense.

SpaceX and its technologies will cause an acceleration in the growth of wages and wealth creation globally, including in some of the poorest communities in the U.S. and around the world.

Access to low-cost, high speed communications everywhere will allow children around the world to be educated, families to build businesses, and life-saving medical knowledge and care to be available everywhere.

SpaceX will materially bring down the cost of compute, advancing AI and humanity.

Meanwhile, 4,000 SpaceX employees yesterday became millionaires, including hourly wage employees who you claim you are trying to help.

The Elon Musks of the world drive growth, global GDP, and provide access to goods and services at lower cost that would otherwise not exist.

Elon’s nominal trillionaire status is due to his ownership of SpaceX, Tesla, Neuralink, the Boring Company and his other initiatives that have brought new technologies that improve our everyday lives.

Elon is not sitting on a trillion dollar pile of cash, jewelry and gold. He is using his controlling stakes in his companies to advance mankind. Elon’s companies don’t pay dividends. They reinvest all of their capital to accelerate innovation and value creation.

Elon is working 24/7 for all of us. He deserves respect and appreciation, not smears.

Bernie, your socialism would never allow a SpaceX to be built. Socialism has only proven to impoverish mankind and lead to death and destruction.

We need to create the conditions for more SpaceXs to be built, not attack the great entrepreneurs who are helping to advance our country.

James Madison described the powers of the federal government as “few and defined” and those reserved to the states as “numerous and indefinite.”

We’ve been dangerously drifting from that understanding since the 1930s.

The drift has been most evident in areas now most fraught with waste, fraud, and abuse.

If we honored the Constitution’s limits on federal power, there’d be very little waste, fraud, and abuse in our national government.

Share if you’d like to see a “constitutional reset,” in which any government function that’s not obviously and necessarily federal under the Constitution would be returned “to the states respectively, or to the people,” as the Tenth Amendment specifies.

I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that.

Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it.

Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games.

Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on.

As I’ve always said, qualifying to next season’s Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen.

Ryan Clark couldn't be more in error.

It is wrong to play that Bible against itself, as if "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Mt. 22:3) somehow nullifies the moral norms of Scripture. It doesn't.

On the contrary, the Bible says that love does not rejoice in wrongdoing but always rejoices in the truth (1 Cor. 13:6). And here's the truth:

Every time the Bible mentions homosexuality, it unambiguously treats it as sin. Indeed, the apostle Paul says that those who live in unrepentant homosexual immorality will not inherit the Kingdom of God (1 Cor. 6:9-11).

If your understanding of love involves giving attaboys to sinners on their way to judgment, you aren't loving them like the Bible tells you to love. It isn't loving to conceal the truth from sinners. Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish (Luke 13:3).
