Ahí nace el riesgo: que la gente, cansada de tanta impunidad, termine pidiendo cárcel, Ejército y castigo antes que pruebas, jueces y debido proceso.

La lección es brutal: si México no construye un Estado que proteja de verdad, tarde o temprano alguien va a ofrecer protección a cambio de libertades. Y ese día el problema ya no será sólo el crimen; será haber entregado la democracia al primer caudillo que supo administrar nuestro miedo.
