"Your universe has no meaning to them. They will not try to understand. They will be tired, they will be cold, they will make a fire with your beautiful oak door"
They are not humans despite being human-shaped
47% of government spending is on some form of welfare. Only 8% is on defense.
Reducing welfare spending is profoundly difficult politically...but it must be done or we will go the way of Rome.
Hey @elonmusk, maybe you should look into meeting the demand of a badass family CyberSUV. The people have spoken and we need it now! Thank you for your attention to this matter! $tsla
.@jonfavs, I know exactly what it feels like when your daughter goes off to a university to visit friends and NEVER comes home.
My daughter Katie was killed by an illegal immigrant who was incentivized and protected by policies that failed her at every stop, by Illinois and by the Biden administration.
So when I hear selective appeals to compassion, I have to ask: where was the compassion for Katie? Where is it for her family?
Katie is in a grave. I'll never see her again. Why?
Compassion cannot mean caring deeply about one person while ignoring the innocent people who paid the price for the policies being defended.
Selective compassion isn't compassion. It's ideology wearing a compassionate face.
@KyleM_FF You need better settings for kickers and defenses. If you get butthurt about kickers scoring 20 points on you, I want to see the same energy for Jerome Bettis getting 4 TDs with 2 yards
So this is pretty wild: A polling firm that came out of nowhere to show Francesca Hong with a 23-point lead over David Crowley in the Wisconsin primary has shut down and said its whole operation was bogus

Two of those items run into serious issues, which imbalances the whole argument.
1) “Get real stuff for money you print” mostly only works if the world holds our bonds and currency, not our stocks, real estate, or private equity. In practice what happens is we send money out into the world for stuff, and the rest of the world reinvests those dollars into our stocks and other capital assets, owning a larger and larger share of them over time. So, we are actually selling away a rising share of our appreciating assets for depreciating goods.
2) When the industrial base stagnates enough from decades of trade deficits, it’s hard to maintain the largest military in the world anymore. The ability to replace ships, missiles, bases, and other things weakens considerably and you end up not being able to open a strait.
