Fun fact! Being divorced in China can be VERY different from being divorced in USA 😳

Remember Ross from Friends? He was divorced 3 times & they joked about him being the “divorce force” lol! because it was mostly funny & not serious at all 😂 Here some people even throw divorce parties to celebrate!

But in China divorce carries lots of shame/embarrassment/dishonor for both families & makes dating again much harder. My friend in China is super beautiful & turns heads everywhere we go 😍 She’s been divorced about a year & started dating again, but once she tells a Chinese man she’s divorced the date is pretty much over.

It’s like telling a handsome middle aged Texas cowboy you’re a democrat hahahaha! 🤠😂

On one hand I like how much importance Chinese culture puts on family & staying together ❤️ And I think here in USA we should care more about keeping families together instead of so many broken homes & kids with only 1 parent.

But on the other hand I also love that here people can get forgiveness when they make a mistake with what turns out to be the wrong decision. Sometimes young folks move too fast & make a mistake.
