Hi all, since im unable to update as frequently as id like, please continue to "see" our data via @stalebread14 and his website https://t.co/d25E7cGi4K. Stay safe!!
02/01 update: ~217 new cases for todays 7 day average, big drop from the ~330s in mid-Jan. However, more and more are dying, 5 per day up from 3 in mid-Jan.
Surprising to see DC not doing very well in comparison to other cities. See bottom of dashboard.

12/26: Data current up to 12/24. Despite the case fatality rate decreasing (more people getting tested), DC had 37 deaths in the past week, rather high number for DC standards. 8% decrease in the weekly positives. Ward 5, 8 = 31% of positives this week.

@FodaRecord@councilofdc@MayorBowser Yeah that’s why i included both. It seems like an odd figure to gain much insight from. But nonetheless useful to see.
12/01 update: Slight decline after the big spike on Thursday (180 cases per week, down from 192) but anticipating lots of testing to be done in the coming days.

@Jerome_Roberts Yea good point. I was born in SF so i was tracking it quite closely on my own and it did seem like they were only a few weeks ahead of us in terms of the data trends.
Ok new addition: I've been having a hard time finding data that compares DC to other cities (not states), so this is a look at the 14 day avg of daily cases compared to other major counties in the US, with some notable extras. At the very bottom.

@FodaRecord@councilofdc@MayorBowser From what i recall, Unique is the distinct count of residents tested. So if you get tested 10 times, you only show up as once in Unique and 10 times in All. Both should include DC residents although im not sure if non-residents are included in the All figure.
Lastly, the data is alarming, but the daily positive rate is consistent with historical values. Meaning that although the numbers for today are really high, so was the level of testing done that allowed that figure to me met. 371 cases of 12,899 tests.
11/28 update: (revised update due to DC data errors). Today marks the highest recorded # of cases (371) since data collection began, based on 13k tests (2.9% pos rate). Case fatality rate dropping to 3.2%. Doubling rate @ 71 days, yikes. https://t.co/O2UXxZUn2N
