BREAKING: Kamala Harris leaps into action and calls for a "Reproductive Freedom Week" after a Republican law goes into effect in Iowa banning abortions before most women know that they're pregnant.

This is what real leadership looks like and it comes with a promise...

"So today, Iowa put in place a Trump abortion ban, which makes Iowa the 22nd state in our country to have a Trump abortion ban," Harris said in a new video attacking Trump's anti-abortion policies.

"What this means is that one in three women of reproductive age in America lives in a state with a Trump abortion ban. So what we need to do is vote," she explained.

Her campaign is launching its "Fight for Reproductive Freedom Week of Action" by holding events in battleground states in order to "ensure voters understand all that’s at stake for reproductive rights in this election."

"When I am president of the United States, I will sign into law the protections for reproductive freedom," Harris added.

Second gentleman Doug Emhoff will be on the campaign trail in New Hampshire, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan and Nevada alongside reproductive rights activists pushing this crucial messaging.

Abortion is going to be a defining issue of this election. Americans know that Trump is responsible for the deeply unpopular repeal of Roe v. Wade.
