@WhityRemarks As a student at Nebraska in the early/mid 90s, and a season ticket holder since, what you are describing appears to be universal. My brief explanation is the better the game presentation, the greater the fan expectation they need to be entertained instead creating it themselves.

@mjwild00 @RefObserver17 Christian Laettner would disagree. The extra 0.5 allows a pretty good shot attempt if you can catch the ball. Not to mention if you can shoot and get fouled, you're only down one, pretty dumb way to lose if you missed previously on purpose.
