Talarico is repeating a lie that two career prosecutors already dismantled in writing. Brenda Cantu (29 years) and Dorian Cotlar (25 years, Board Certified in Criminal Law) tried Adam Hoffman for Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child. The jury hung 7–5 to convict. They were ready to retry. The child refused to testify again. The Constitution requires confrontation. Forcing the child survivor back on the stand was the only path to a felony — and it was against his wishes. So they secured jail time and a guilty plea to a lesser offense instead of re-traumatizing him. Talarico calling that an “Epstein deal” is not a policy argument. It is campaigning on a child victim.
