I’ll NEVER understand how so many of y’all were hoodwinked into the belief that the government should NOT use the money you pay in taxes to create a social safety net that benefits you, fund public healthcare, lower housing costs, and make daily life more affordable.

James Blake took to his Instagram story to call out the state of the music industry's metrics, one by one.
"Can't trust a review because blogs/mags stopped making money so journalists now get paid off by labels…can’t trust a comment section…YouTube numbers…streaming numbers…Can’t even trust a song that was made by human beings,” he wrote. Read his full note below.
@jamesblake concluded with a message to artists: "You're probably doing better than you think."

Hate has no place Uptown and in the Bronx, nor in our politics.
Tomorrow, we have a choice: keep the hateful politics of the past, or welcome a new day Uptown and in the Bronx.
I am deeply alarmed by the detention of Sama Safi in an Israeli prison. Sama, a 20-year-old Palestinian American student, was taken from her home in the middle of the night and continues to be held without charges. This is part of a disturbing pattern of the Israeli government denying Palestinians their basic due process rights, often at risk to their health and safety. The United States has a responsibility to protect its citizens abroad, and we must hold our allies to basic standards of equal justice under the law. I am urging Secretary Rubio and the Trump Administration to use every diplomatic tool available to bring Sama home safely.
#BREAKING: Hayes: “Acting AG Todd Blanche told Congress not to worry about the $1.8 billion slush fund for insurrectionists…The DOJ then told the court the same thing—don’t worry, it’s moot, it’s dropped, and then last week, the judge said okay, fine, put it in writing. She ordered Blanche and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and an associate AG to all sign ‘a declaration under the penalty of perjury, they will not take any action to create or operate the anti-weaponization fund and that the anti-weaponization fund will not proceed in any manner or under any name.’ Well, today was the deadline for that and guess what? They came back to the court and they said no, we’re NOT doing it. We’re NOT filing any declaration to officially kill the fund, which probably means the slush fund is NOT dead.”🙄🤦♀️
YouTuber Yes Theory tracked down a man who has lived isolated from the modern world deep in the Amazon for more than 39 years and got the rare opportunity to interview him about his life 😳👀🔥

Police tackle 15-year-old Black girl—officer kneels on back of her neck with his full body weight.
The arrest occurred at an Ohio festival held to celebrate Juneteenth.
Someone called 911 because they "took issue with the teen's profane language."
"It angered me to see the police put a knee on this young lady’s neck—especially with what we saw after George Floyd some years back," said lawyer.
The teenage girl was charged with disorderly conduct, persisting, and criminal mischief.
Two adults were also arrested for "interfering"—after they tried to pull the police officer's knee off her neck.
"He felt the officer’s actions were a little excessive and so he acted on that... he put himself in trouble trying to help someone," said lawyer.
Officer involved is currently on paid administrative leave pending the investigation.
Incident occurred in Elyria, Ohio—about 20 miles west of Cleveland.
She studied chemistry at Princeton because she believes bad forensic science has contributed to wrongful convictions—and now she’s going to law school to change that.
