Recently many top universities in the northeast have been in the news for the wrong reasons such as Tezpur University, NEHU and the Guwahati University. Often it is the action of the Vice Chancellor which has raised concerns. Once the centres of academic excellence both students and teachers have expressed displeasure. This has affected the performance of the university and the rankings. I have written to the @PMOIndia about Tezpur University but my concern is for the broader Northeast region. I will be raising this issue strongly in the Parliament. I hope for a positive response from the Prime Minister’s office. https://t.co/ackebaqepF
Congratulations to our PhD student, Dipen Mahato, who was just awarded the Second Place at the Poster Contest of the Mathematical Congress of the Americas!

@pratik4football @IAS_Rubal Those who had COVID recently and recovered successfully, what is the status of their Vaccine Passport concept! You are talking about rules, but ignoring all the available contraints. People didn't have COVAXIN of their choice, they had that JAB for being out of options.
@pratik4football @IAS_Rubal You are not getting the point and just stating the known facts without correlating them. The concept of Vaccine Passport has been brought into light and two catagories is not included in that SOP.
1. Vaccinated by COVAXIN
2. Newly recovered from COVID
@pratik4football @IAS_Rubal Under the scarcity of Vaccines, and SOP unavailable, the most feasible choice was to get whatever vaccine the locality is providing, may it COVAXIN or Covishild. So those who got vaccinated by COVAXIN before arrival of the SOP, aren't they entitled for their Educational Journey!
@CovaxinBharat@CovaxinOfficial@WHO
Sir, the latest SOP by Ministry of Health regarding foreign (not only US) bound students states the candidates to Vaccine Passport with Covishild before journey. But there are plenty of Universities in US who has approved COVAXIN.
Also request @MEAIndia to look into this particular case which arise from the new SOP related to Foreign bound students at the below link and provide a clear statement regarding those candidates. https://t.co/UBEqT5PY8O
@pratik4football @IAS_Rubal And before yesterday's notice it was totally unclear to students, so your blaming is not at all justified. It's not the fault of the students, they have taken the measures to make them safe, with whatever resource they could get.
Now under this new development what should I do! Am I entitled to take the 2nd dose of COVAXIN!
Please do mention what SOP should be applied to such candidates who have already taken one or two jabs of COVAXIN! Expecting some leads from MEA regarding this.
@MEAIndia Sir, I am a Candidate who got admission in US school for my Ph.D. this Fall and I have taken COVAXIN (my University has COVAXIN in their approved list)1st dose just yesterday and now find MEA has arranged special exemption in Covishild Vaccination.
@idevadhikari I would like to draw your attention towards this issue, as all major states have done some arrangements for their resident Foreign bound students, but as of now in our state, no such information is available. Please do help.🙏
Therefore I request you to make a special arrangements of Sputnik V for the foriegn bound students in West Bengal, so that we can be vaccinated before starting our new journey. As Apollo Hospitals are responsible for Sputnik V distribution, I request you to consider our case.
