No. He relentlessly bullied Rife in his Instagram comments. He repeatedly left absolute BOOKS of criticism until Matt finally snapped.
Matt Rife - a well-known comedian with a very established inability to GAF - retaliated.
Then the dude ran off screaming “autism,” even though there was no way Matt would have known he had autism.
Don’t poke the bear when the bear is a comedian literally known for making fun of EVERYONE, and then scream “victim” when he finally responds to your stupidity.
Rife’s comedy persona is well-established. His entire brand is no-holds-barred roasting… crowd work, specials, social media, all of it. And he has a pretty obvious track record of firing back HARD when he feels provoked rather than simply ignoring it.
You don’t get to relentlessly antagonize someone, finally get the reaction you were looking for, and then suddenly hide behind a personal diagnosis the other person had no way of knowing about.
If you can’t play with the big boys, step off the plate.
I only have two ideas as when the Orioles curse began. It was either:
A. Firing Cal Sr. 7 games into the 1988 season, or
B. March 28th, 1999 when they played a home-and-home series with the Cuban National team and Angelos was photographed chumming it up with Fidel Castro.
Josh Brolin says staying sober only worked once he made sobriety more exciting than the life alcohol gave him.
“My job is to make sobriety more fun than my greatest romance with drinking.”
“I loved to drink. It was like gasoline. It was fuel.”
“I wasn’t someone who could just sip a drink watching TV.”
“I’ve been banned from almost every bar on Main Street.”
“After one drink, I never knew which version of myself was going to show up.”
“Some people had the best night of their lives with me.”
“Other people watched me completely change.”
“That doesn’t happen anymore, and I’m grateful for it.”
“When I got sober, I was willing to lose everything to make it my top priority.”
“Only after that could I start building the life I actually wanted.”
