Improving service delivery requires innovative approaches to political oversight. Today, we decided to abandon the boardroom and take our weekly service delivery war-room to the streets of Tshwane.
We were joined by MMCs and senior managers who are responsible for resolving the service delivery gaps identified during the tour of Region 3.
The oversight visit will be followed by coordinated #ReASpana service delivery programmes.

The next stop was in Lotus Gardens with a walkabout at the Westfort Informal Settlement. Service delivery issues identified in the area include: illegal dumping, water leaks and illegal electricity connections.
The city has already began work to legalise electricity connections in the area through the city’s meter installation programme.
We plan to conduct a service delivery programme in the area.
