@BignessYT Yh I had this exact same reaction as well lmao, the anime kind of shifts it to be a more useless/comedic death almost?? But this death is pretty important because it forces Subaru to realize the actual reality and weight of death, which flows seamlessly into him discovering RBD.

also there's a pretty even distribution of male & female characters
The female characters aren't forced but actually have legitimate reasons for being there, with their own separate conflicts & values.
