@mildbrokenbil@TheGreatBambe2@SoccerInsider DC hasn’t been competitive since 07, haven’t won a playoff series since 2012, haven’t won a cup since 2013 and haven’t qualified for the PO’s since 2019. To make this worse DC has gotten more awful in new stadium then RFK days.
@herculezg I finally dropped my season tickets after many many years. Probably should have done it 5 years ago...
After a great 10-15 years, they've been a poor organization.
@SoccerInsider
I'll spend some of that $ going to @WashSpirit games. That's a solid organization!
With 9 points from 10 matches — and 1 win in that span — D.C. United below playoff line and on course to miss out for 7th straight year — an almost impossible feat in playoff-drunk MLS.
One playoff win in previous 10 years, 0 conference finals since 2012.
Common denominator?

@dcunited We’ve hit the stage in the season where it’s losing none stop -> manager gets sacked -> next manager hired -> hype up next season how things will change -> repeat 😂
Unfortunately a lot of soccer coaches still blame soccer parents for everything so many of them refuse to talk to soccer parents.
We all need to do a better job of educating parents.
MLS will be fine as an aside to a fully open ecosystem in American soccer. They’ve had 30 years to build fan loyalty, cater to those who prefer a league run like WWE over one run like EPL, and supposedly control ludicrous amounts of capital.
Then why are they so freaking scared of the idea?

@DCU_Reloaded@dcunited What game did you watch? If Johnson is MVP of the game then that alone tells the whole story. Awful game from DC, very LUCKY result tbh.
DEVELOPING
During yesterday's boys' soccer game between Rapid City Central & Brookings in Brookings, a physical altercation between players stopped the game with 3:48 left in the 1st half.
Stoppage lasted about 10 minutes, game resumed

By the logic then no kid in america will take soccer seriously the give everything up at 12 yrs old, kids have other sporting options in America, High school and college do a better job in a kids development
@CrunkATL If you want to play soccer at the highest level, you’re development is key, can’t be 16 or 17 and jump into it and think you’ll be any good at pro level lol. Soccer is a difficult sport to master so any advantages should be taken and in America only privilege kids get chances.
