#TeamLAS has already received nearly 10,000 drug and alcohol-related calls this summer. With #NottingHillCarnival coming up, we will have an additional 180 people on duty at the event.
Remember to, stay hydrated, eat before drinking, carry water and any meds.

Local Upminster and Hornchurch MP @JuliaLopezMP presented Romford Team H with the NHS Parliamentary Award she and @wesstreeting nominated Team LAS and @BHRUT_NHS for reducing handover delays this morning at their huddle
I headed out on today's 6.30am shift with the London Ambulance Service @Ldn_Ambulance in Havering to see the work they do everyday to serve residents.
Before setting off, I presented the team with the national NHS Award they won this week for reducing handover times. Then I went out with the amazing Kate and Chloe to attend calls. Both were former carers and that experience shone through in their approach in calming and caring for patients.
Many thanks to the team for sharing their practical insights and for all they do for constituents when they need them most.
It's natural to want to see what's going on in an emergency situation, but please put the camera away 📵
If you witness a medical emergency or accident, respect the privacy of both patients and staff and don't take any photos or recordings.
