I want to pile on with Mark here to make some related points, because what he is saying is needed pushback to the insanity of "let room temperature IQ politicians micromanage the entire world".

1: what is the actual quality of life and consumptive reality? Mark, you're probably using almost exactly the same phone as me, or, quite bluntly, someone on food stamps. This would be unheard of 100-200 years ago. The difference between the ultra-rich and poor has never been smaller in terms of actual life experience.

2: what are we doing with all that money? Politicians wanting more more more while having a 7T budget and solving none of these issues is just not credible. I'm in favor of cutting the federal, state, and municipal budgets by 50%+ and just directly paying that money, pro-rata, to all US citizens (or US citizen state or local residents) instead. They will do a better job than the government.

It does not follow that more taxes = better outcomes when you let politicians spend the money. If anything, it seems to do worse!

So if we want to have this discussion, you cannot start with taxes. Demonstrably higher taxes are not being spent efficiently. You have to start with how are you going to rationalizing how the money is spent, then we can work backwards to taxes.

I'd argue inflating the dollar might be a net benefit to the borrower relative to others, but everyone (including the borrower and/or government) has to buy goods and services with that devalued dollar.

The money printer will only work while the rest of the world agrees that it should work. When they don't... It ain't gonna be pretty.

As a Tesla Model Y owner, I do take issue with your first point.

Sure, if you are returning home to a garage wall connector after a daily commute, you have a full tank. It's great as a daily driver.

If you are on the road, I've found the ONLY system you can reliably trust to always be online are Tesla Superchargers. I have been burned so many times heading to a Charge point station in a pinch only to find it "temporarily unavailable". Those are so expensive and slow anyways, combined with the out of order issue, they don't exist in my mind.

So yeah, in an urban area, you'll be able to locate a Tesla supercharger within 15 minutes but on long road trips following the 80/20 battery guidelines for a 300mi battery you need to find a supercharger every 180 miles.

Imagine taking a trip with a gas car that:
- you needed to fill up any time it got to half a tank
- the gas stations are 40 minutes apart
- the fill up takes an hour.

That's a road trip in an EV. Its why my family still has ICE vehicles too as they are still vastly superior for longer trips andb absolutely critical if you are going to rural areas. With family in East Texas, we know we can hit buc-cees to and from but beyond that (and at our destination well off the beaten path) there is definite anxiety around "okay where and when do we charge again"

Pretty much everything the left wants right now is corrosive to civilization and the rule of law. Dems catch-n-release criminals to continue victimizing innocents. They tirelessly defend criminal aliens who are deported. They rush to condemn the apprehension of brutal dictators. They open the boarder and let 10-20 Million totally unvetted randos into the country. So either your side is stopped, or we're all going to find out what equality really looks like, and it is not something that will be suitable for any of our soft asses.

Yes because in the instant of this moment, neither the officer nor you know if she is going to try to continue to hit officers or others as she's driving. I could plausibly see the driver get straightened up after passing the officer, then slamming it in reverse to try to run all of them over behind her.

Very important PSA to anyone. Follow the orders of law enforcement. They ask you to get out of your car. You get out of your car. You don't try to peel away, aiming to hit one.
