@MC_J_bru@signulll The original post seems to be making the best of a bad situation and takes it better than a lot of people here. The worst he said is he resents her when he has to get up early. If it's fake and bait it's bad, these people are just easy to trigger.
@HistoryBoomer@JohnSchoffstall He probably held those views at one time and then had a change of heart. Wouldn't explain why he didn't remove it but it sounds more believable than that he gets tattoos with no idea what they mean. If it was meant as a PotC Jolly Roger he's an idiot with a bad tattoo artist.
@Socradeeznutts@earlofwallst@ivankagrump@BovrilG So now it's not Jews but specifically Kabalists? People in the shtetls of Eastern Europe and living in northern England were up with the latest metaphysics out of Salamanca?
@Socradeeznutts@earlofwallst@ivankagrump@BovrilG As to your other contentions while some may have some root in truth because individual Jews did all kinds of things both good and bad but the supranational organization or ideology necessary to coordinate or even desire a "Jewish plot" for any of those things has never existed.
@Socradeeznutts@earlofwallst@ivankagrump@BovrilG Of course they were coerced, a lot of the incidents people recorded do not seem to have actually happened and many victims were fictitious. And there's no evidence at all of any Jewish rituals requiring human blood of any type, just the opposite in fact.
@Socradeeznutts@earlofwallst@ivankagrump@BovrilG Go ahead, as long as you realize being primary is no guarantee of a source's accuracy and that the testimony of coerced confessions and threatened or paid informers is rarely given great weight.
@beautifultrolls@Paulatron67 Maybe they're including literature and want to read the Old Testament and the Mongol Secret History in their original languages.
@AlexWajoe@ChaosMerchant_ Yes. Also the Caribbean and Central America are a continent and this map doesn't show it but a little bit of Siberia belongs to North America.
@romanhelmetguy So what are you saying, read Livy at face value? I don't believe a youth burned his hand off in a brazier without flinching to show the determination of Rome. I don't believe the story of Coriolanus. I don't think the Senators stood still as statues before the Gauls.
@mini_feebas@VeronesePaul Duke's Mayonnaise, the overwhelming choice of the US South, contains mustard, doesn't contain sugar and has a higher amount of egg yolks than other US brands.
@V2Jake@mactellomckeown I said it had a weird implication of it, not that I or anyone actually thinks it. It's a linguistic quirk based on our reluctance to say "a/an" then a nationality without following it with "person", "man", "woman", etc.
@whosaidthathm@mactellomckeown No one's accusing you of racism. I'm wondering if geographic proximity affects whether you use the article or not. They're all far away to us, except for Mexican food, but not for you.
