@ljmontello I disagree with Biden, but welcome to the real world. Nobody is going to agree with you on everything, and everybody pushes for *something* you disagree with. If you want the "perfect" candidate, run yourself. Good look though, because everyone else will find you imperfect.
@janefortruth Can't help you because I've literally never seen this behavior. And why do you have to be a man to have any power to change it? You could probably have crushed their fragile egos right then and there with a dozen or so words.
People are going to get a lot of mileage out of the fact that messed up and lost contact, but let's all name the piece of electronic kit that we've consistently kept track of and operational for 46 years. Anyone? Anyone?
This tweet coming from a female physician is truly infuriating. My feed is constantly filled with women giving examples of physicians who brushed them off as “crazy” and missed serious pathology. Respectfully, your job is to distinguish sick vs not sick and facilitate care. 1/
@MaraGreengrass Unfortunately, I don't think a lot of anthropologists or sociologists get that rhetoric isn't how you learn about the world. Evidence is.
@MaraGreengrass If you see peer reviewed papers with bad evidence, you're free to gather your own and contradict them. That's how science moves forward. Arguing about in twitter is not.
@MaraGreengrass Yeah. Looked up what I think is that study (22 countries?)
Authors are sociologists. They can call it "evolutionary biology," (or string theory, or oceanography,...) It doesn't make it so, however.
@Autistic_at_40 Yes. It's a subset. If you go to a bar and meet a "bear," a "twink," and a "cruiser." They're all "gay," but one word doesn't capture the diversity. Language has a way of expanding to meet the needs.
@Autistic_at_40 At the end of the day, why do we have "autistic" as a word when we already had "nerd?" The answer is because words can bring more nuanced deeper meanings. That's why there are dozens of words for "gay" and nobody really questions it.
@Autistic_at_40 It was originally meant as "mild autism." We still make divisions, but under different names. All taxonomies have splitters who want lots of categories, and lumpers who want one big one. It's always a arbitrary argument. In the end, it's a word that has meaning for people.
@Autistic_at_40 @MissPatVanLady All separations are inherently arbitrary because there are no clear dividing lines. The world is full of greys, and we just draw lines to make boxes.
America is rapidly becoming two nations because Red states are able to mooch off Blue states, using stolen tax money to reinvent the old Confederacy, “own the libs,” and wage “war on woke.” How do we end Red State welfare?
