@dublinbusnews@TFIupdates These delays frequently cause passengers to be late for work or miss vital travel connections.
changeover procedures should be handled with the urgency that passengers’ schedules deserve
@TFIupdates@dublinbusnews I would like to report a recurring issue with the efficiency of driver changeovers. While I understand that shift changes are necessary, these stops often exceed 10 minutes, causing significant delays for passengers.
@dublinbusnews@TFIupdates When a bus carrying 50–60 people is held up for 10 minutes, the result is nearly 10 hours of collective human productivity lost in a single stop. This is an incredibly inefficient way to manage a public transport service.
@Nadine_E_Boylan@Luas@TFIupdates Routes 11, 47, etc., can’t handle the extra demand — many will be stranded. No alternatives exist for trips like Central Park → Cherrywood/Brides Glen. Shouldn’t @TFIupdates coordinate this? Not sure if it’s LUAS’s job to provide buses.
@Nadine_E_Boylan@Luas@TFIupdates It’s been over 8 hours and LUAS still seems to be grappling in the dark. Their lunchtime update already showed they hadn’t identified the issue. I’m no engineer, but it’s clear proper contingency plans should’ve been in place for peak hours.
@Luas@Michell32183011@TFIupdates Unfortunately, the alternative bus routes are taking too long for people travelling from the north side of the city, causing significant delays. Other options, such as taking the E1 or E2 routes and walking 20–25 minutes (Brewery Road), are also not very feasible.
@Luas@Michell32183011@TFIupdates Could you please confirm whether service will be restored tomorrow? People working in Sandyford and Central Park need to know if they will be able to commute in a timely manner.
