My argument isn’t that every Black or gay player thinks this way. That’s ridiculous.

My argument is that there is a segment of WNBA players, former players, media and fans who appear perfectly comfortable with diversity until the white, straight woman becomes the biggest star in the room.

Then suddenly we’re talking about:

“She hasn’t earned it.”

“She’s overhyped.”

“Her fans are the problem.”

“She needs to speak out.”

“She needs to respect the veterans.”

“She isn’t the face of OUR league.”

Interesting.

Because when Black stars dominate the attention, nobody demands they apologize for being popular.

Nobody asks them to answer for every lunatic in their fan base.

Nobody treats their success like some existential threat to the league’s identity.

But Caitlin Clark walked through the door and became a GLOBAL phenomenon without asking the WNBA establishment for permission.

THAT’S WHAT I BELIEVE THEY CAN’T STAND.

And instead of admitting that resentment exists, we’ve spent three years hearing the same convenient explanation:

“It’s her fans.”

Bullshit.

Bad fans exist EVERYWHERE.

Racism exists EVERYWHERE.

Harassment exists in EVERY fan base.

So either hold Angel Reese, A’ja Wilson and everybody else responsible for their worst supporters too…

OR STOP MAKING CAITLIN CLARK RESPONSIBLE FOR HERS.
