And “just let God decide” makes zero sense when voting is literally how we choose our leaders. God being sovereign doesn’t mean Christians are supposed to sit around and refuse to make decisions.

John never claimed Talarico was some perfect Christian either. He voted for a politician, he wasn’t picking a pastor. You can think someone has terrible theology and still believe they’re the better political choice.

If your conscience tells you to sit it out, cool. But telling another Christian they’re gonna answer before God because they voted differently than you is exactly the self righteous purity testing John was calling out in the first place.
