Tesla has just officially confirmed that the driver of the Model 3 that crashed into a home in Texas manually overrode the vehicle's self-driving system by pressing the accelerator pedal.
The vehicle struck the home at 73 mph. A lot of mainstream media wrongly mislead people into thinking that it was the vehicles fault.
Case closed.
@mrfundman There must be a bunch vacationing down here in south Florida already as it’s starting to tick back up. Speeding past flipping me off, and then yesterday a group of teen girls came up and spit on my Frunk. They didn’t get too far and apologized when I called them out.
@cybrtrkguy Whew I’m glad I’m not the only one this morning…I had 1080 down here in Plantation. I had to start looking online to make sure what was going on!
Cybertruck is already amazing, but these features would make the experience even better.
1. Add a top down bird’s eye view in the UI when approaching intersections, stop signs, and red lights so we can see more of what’s happening around the truck. Similar to Model Y.
2. Fix the bug where the FSD visualization does not go full screen when FSD is activated.
3. Bring Smart Summon to Cybertruck.
4. Add Auto Shift so the truck can switch gears on its own during 3 point turns, similar to newer Model 3 and Model Y.
5. Add AC vent swing mode like the new Model Y, where the airflow gently sweeps left to right.
6. Give us a parked low mode so the truck can sit lower than entry height for photos, shows, and everyday convenience.
7. Add FSD reverse and park in home garage, plus parking preferences so we can choose closest to the front, middle of the lot, end of the lot, between cars, or away from cars.
I hope they see this post and keep improving the Cybertruck experience.
Cybertruck owners, what feature would you add next?

Hey @elonmusk and @aelluswamy, any update or timeline on when the Cybertruck will get Actually Smart Summon?
This might be the most requested Cybertruck feature right now. Owners have been waiting patiently and would love to see it roll out soon.
Who else is ready for ASS on the @Cybertruck?
That's 6 weeks away at worst, 4 weeks at best.
The situation surrounding the PCS and its replacement is becoming a bigger and bigger issue.
If my PCS failed and I was 6 weeks with no AC charging, I expect Tesla to either pay my SC costs or provide me with an equivalent loaner.
Cybertruck model year 2026 and newer have expanded warranties for the powertrain, that include everything from the PCS to voltage controllers to the charge port.
It’s literally called the “High-Cost Propulsion-Related” Warranty.
Covers the parts for 7 years / 70k miles
