Hindalco in focus after Novelis results

Operational performance was healthy though aided by one-offs. Excluding Oswego fire & insurance recovery, Q1FY27 Adj. EBITDA/tn at US$525, supported by better spreads and lower shipment losses.

Key concern: Leverage (Net Debt/LTM EBITDA) climbed to a 24-quarter high of 4.5x. Management expects this to moderate in 2HFY27.

Positives ahead:
✅ Oswego plant has restarted and will ramp up.
✅ Novelis expects to turn free cash flow positive by end-FY27.
