Aiming to reach 100 by the end of the year, would you like to help us hit 100 by the end of the year?
If so come along to one of our litter picks and help us save the environment 💚

Local residents enjoying a
variety of recreational activities at Beam Parklands today - (rather uncomfortable) yoga on the mound stone and peaceful reading near the lake. A beautiful site to be enjoyed by all! @thelandtrust

Photos from today’s litter pick. Three bags cleared, plus I was lucky enough to see a heron and have a huge cricket jump on my shoulder! Wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning! Would you believe this is in Dagenham?? #litterpick #CleanUp @Cleanup_UK @dagenhamwin @lbbdcouncil

@exodusenglish I agree John. This is why I started this group, to help encourage others to keep our borough clean. If you’d like to help us fight our cause we’re always happy to have new volunteers!

[Dagenham Community Volunteers @Dagenham_CV]

It was snail heaven at our last session! Unfortunately some of the snails had found a home on the litter strewn around the park.

We would love more volunteers! If you’re interested in joining please get in touch at [email protected]

We meet every Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30

[Dagenham Community Volunteers @Dagenham_CV]

@lbbdcouncil There seems to be an infestation of false widows around the Leys following the outbreak in LBBD a few years ago. Might be worth issuing some guidance on how to prevent pests in the first place.

[Barking & Dagenham MPS @MPSBarkDag]

Police are currently trying to locate Renae SMITH who has gone missing from the Dagenham area. last seen wearing blue jeans, black trainers, black jacket, bag with her. Black hair up in a bun. If anyone has seen her or knows of her whereabouts please call 101.

[Andrew Achilleos @AndyAchilleos]

This is so important. I have major concerns about young men in particular, the ones that are least likely to seek help and the most likely to commit suicide. Govt needs to work across sectors to get a unified comms and service plan in place now. #MentalHealthMatters

This is the final day to nominate that very special someone, who went above and beyond during lockdown, for them to receive a very special thank you at our One Borough One Love online festival on 19-20 September! For more info visit - https://t.co/ufbVa4BnOf

🚨FLOODING IN AREAS OF THE BOROUGH🚨There is severe flooding in the Dagenham east area and officers from the council's Incident Response Unit are currently attending.

Further information will be provided shortly. Please avoid the area where possible.

[Dagenham Community Volunteers @Dagenham_CV]

@BDParkRangers @lbbdcouncil Really glad to hear this, thank you

[Dagenham Community Volunteers @Dagenham_CV]

Litter picking tip: Seek out communal areas first; these tend to be heavily littered and the litter is easily reachable.
Having said that, @lbbdcouncil please can we have more bins in Beam Parklands? (Not fewer,as is currently being proposed)
