It’s not social media that’s “inflaming tensions”.
It’s not Elon Musk.
It’s not Nigel Farage.
It’s not the ‘far-right’.
It is the very deliberate policy of mass uncontrolled immigration & open borders.
This policy has to end or it will destroy Western nations.
The case for liberty has never been that free people are perfect. It's that no one else is qualified to fix them, and the people most eager to try are the least qualified of all.
Illegal immigration costs Idaho $405 million per year. $616 per household.
$245M to education. $76M to law enforcement. $84M to healthcare and services.
After all taxes paid, the net cost is still over $300 million. In 2009 it was $188 million. More than doubled.
Idaho should not subsidize federal failure.
@PetsPolitics@brianalmon Most county offices are already partisan.
Commissioners, sheriff, clerk, coroner, ect.
Sometimes it feels like ideology doesn't matter for these positions, but I'd like to know that they're working for lower taxes, traditional family values, and limited government power.
I strongly disagree.
The statist left tolerates The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because they see us as weak when we bend over backwards to be accommodating and Christlike.
Some of the religious right argue strongly against LDS doctrine, but that doesn't even compare to what the left will eventually do to us.
@TheJonGrubb Amen Jon.
I think our community is way overdue for some actual exchange back and forth on the topic of religion. We've all been far to insulated and far too separated for far too long.
@EDDP22@brianalmon Nope.
Freedom of Association =/= Authoritarianism
Is it authoritarianism when the catholic church excommunicates a former member, when the Rotary Club declines your application, or when Ford Motor Co doesn't allow you to vote in board meetings?
Give freedom a try.
You seem to be saying that the Republican Party is a tool.
An empty vessel to be bought and filled up with your own people by yourself and McGrane.
A useful vehicle for the Teachers Union (May Matters?) or IACI, or Democrat dark money from DC. It's a great way for them all to push forward their favorite candidates.
As long as the party themselves - the sincere voters and the grassroots volunteers keep their mouths shut and stay neutral about their own nomination, the Idaho GOP will remain a very useful tool for all your friends.
@EDDP22@brianalmon There is no such thing as a constitutional right to be a part of an association that doesn't want you.
The right of association is a two way street.
@gemstatechron Did you get a chance to ask him if he think's it's appropriate to the man in charge of Idaho elections to be donating prolifically to not just candidates across the state, but also local party precinct races?
