Painting greenhouse roofs? You bet! We use a white paint called “Redu-Sol” to paint the tops of some of our greenhouses in summer. This creates shade and cooling for our greenhouses.

It also slowly washes off and fades over the next several months so that we can get better light penetration again during winter months. It can also be stripped chemically if need be, but we never do that.

The % of shade is determined by how much you dilute the paint with water.
