Obviously Twitter is ruined, so you'll find me on Bluesky now! Give me a follow and let's try to rebuild everything from the ground up https://t.co/Ys7NkwbJLr
In all seriousness... HOW does this happen when the fibre is just in my arm?! What's happening in there to bend it and make it unusable all of a sudden? #gbdoc
@T1_Lesley I have the same issue! Medical environments really spike my anxiety so I don't feel like I get much out of the conversation - I dread the exact same conversation on a phonecall much less!
I really really really wish my diabetes consultant appointments could be over the phone vs in person but they seem to hate it... I have all my physical tests beforehand with the nurse and I'm seeing a locum this time, so spending time and money to go to the clinic is annoying
@JulieTickle4 @GBDocInfo The last two times I've changed mine it's been an early failure followed by the replacement falling off or failing almost immediately! I've been using them for years so it's definitely not a me problem, hahaha
@JimMooreJourno@GBDocInfo That happened to me yesterday! One sensor failed (generic 'Sensor not working' error), then the replacement fell off before it had even finished the hour warmup. Infuriating!
@Kerr21Kerr Definitely sounds like there's something going on with the sensors then! I feel like Abbott are going to ban me from ordering replacements, but they genuinely just keep failing on me 😬
AGAIN I have a new consultant for my next diabetes appointment! I wish I had some degree of continuity as a patient - I see someone different literally every single time and it's really tedious having to start from scratch over and over again
I also wish I could find ANY information on my consultants online - I'm not a people person at the best of times and I find it quite disconcerting having to sit down with a total stranger to discuss my medical history when I don't know a thing about them
