Yes actually, it’s hipster pricks like you talking shite bullshitting fans about “tactics” and using buzzwords just because you play FIFA.
If you knew as much as you pretend you’d be a professional head coach.
Ten Hag this, Amorim that, have you ever actually been right?

Eddie Howe is a good manager with an excellent understanding of playing without the ball.
Very good pressing and block structures, paired with an ability to mix things up, would likely translate into a big OOP improvement at United - especially if recruitment follows suit. United's OOP bar is so low, and has been for a while, that he would surely be able to impose some basic structure.
But the ability of Howe's teams to control games with the ball seemed quite limited, below the required level for a team with constant top 4 aspirations.
His Newcastle often struggled to break down low blocks & find new ways to progress and create in games in which they had the ball, relying primarily on wide triangles & rotations to get info the final 3rd and create.
It didn't seem they were able to change the approach and come up with ways to control possession and gain territory. One of the reasons why the project lost momentum.
Coaches change, learn and improve, so Howe could learn and improve, of course. But in terms of his track record, the in-possession part of things is a worry. Seems much more suited for transitional teams not expected to control so many games per season.
My honest take is that he might be a good mid-term option to stabilize things, but at this point, I don't see him as a long-term option, someone who could bring United back to being a top level team.
@moggy_red@UtdDistrict@MelissaReddy_ She was fucking awful and maybe they got rid of the brilliant James Cooper for her just to tick DEI boxes?
I’d turn the TV off whenever she was on.
@tactixology No I’m not okay, I sick of cunts like you pretending to be smart with hipster buzzwords.
Go back to your ETH & Amorim tactical “analysis” 🙄
You’ve never got anything right! Yet here you are The Fucking Oracle, a fountain of all knowledge, baffling us with bollocks once again
@JerryJezza1 And if his name was Tony Cont and had finished 13th with Fulham you’d be creaming your pants over him
But because he’s a strong, Italian, serial winning manager, you’ll shit yourself because he doesn’t suffer fools and want nice, mid-table, unambitious, boring Edward instead
🤡

“Conte failed at Spurs”
Spurs are 9th when Conte arrives in Nov ‘21.
He leads them to finish 4th.
With a poor squad, bar Kane/Son
When he’s sacked in March ‘22, Spurs are 4th in table.
Spurs on Top 4 once since 2019… under AC
Spurs would kill for 4th ever since

Manchester United Under INEOS with Jason Wilcox as Director of football and Omar Berrada as CEO;
- Extended Ten Hag contract when he needed to be sacked.
- Paid big money for Newcastle to get Dan Ashworth as a sporting director just to sack him after 5 months because he wanted Eddie Howe as Ten Hag’s replacement.
- Gave Amorim more time after finishing 15th and lost Europa league final to spurs, backed him with some players just to sack him after few games because he asked for more and not because of his results.
- Gave Michael Carrick the permanent because he helped the team to secured the ucl spot after finishing 15th before that season when everyone clearly saw how bad his tactics is.
- Decided not to back Carrick properly after giving him the job permanently and also not sacking him early after him proving nothing.
- About a point Eddie Howe that they sacked Dan Ashworth because he asked them to bring him to the club all because he’s the easiest one to get now.
Glazers were bad but Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS are the worse ever to happen to this club
