The Constitution doesn't change when you cross a state line.
But your ability to exercise a constitutional right can change dramatically.
At what point does a state's authority to regulate become incompatible with a right that applies nationwide?
Where should that line actually be drawn?
SAF urges Supreme Court to reject lifetime gun bans for nonviolent felons. “A conviction for a nonviolent offense should not automatically require a lifetime forfeiture of a person’s right to keep and bear arms,” said SAF Executive Director Adam Kraut. https://t.co/D9PViTGgyC @2AFDN
@american6148@HT_GunWriter@2AFDN I say yes; however, there is no constitutional right to weed. The 9th and 10th amendment leave anything not explicitly outlined in the Constitution and Bill of Rights as a State's Rights issue.
The 14th Amendment moved the needle, now states MUST give as much Liberty to their citizens as the Federal Government does.
Someone else needs to tell Tennessee that, as my entreaties seem to have fallen on deaf ears...

That little girl I was holding while wearing the uniform?
She's now attending Texas A&M–Corpus Christi.
And through the Texas Hazlewood Legacy Program, my military service is still helping take care of her education.

I had the opportunity to meet with Brandon Herrera this weekend. @TheAKGuy
Mr. Herrera is the Republican nominee for U.S. Congress in Texas’s 23rd Congressional District and is also the “AK Guy,” known for his work in the firearms community.
What an incredible guy. Brandon is someone who isn’t afraid to speak his mind, stand up for what he believes in, and defend our constitutional rights.
We need people willing to stand up for the Second Amendment and fight to protect our freedoms in Washington. 🇺🇸
It was an honor to meet you, Brandon! 🇺🇸
@Mrgunsngear I was present during this interview, it was a bigger deal than portrayed. Gun Rights and the ATF have been mortal enemies for as long as I can remember, but was a sign that we can coexist... under the current administration.
Pastor Russell Fincher and Tate Adamiak were each pardoned by President Donald Trump earlier this month. Neither man committed any actual crime. Both spoke at SAF’s GRPC conference this weekend. @2AFDN
We move from outrage to outrage.
But the power created during one emotional moment can outlast the headline that started it.
A right that exists only when it is popular isn’t a right. It’s permission.
