@NSwilderness Congrats @NSwilderness. Its not very often that such ambitious and discrete conservation goals are achieved. You've lead on this for years and continued to maintain and build the momentum. Kudos: an impressive and inspiring feat!
Interesting presentation on battery recycling. If we look far enough into the future, battery industry will be closed loop economy. All mining will eventually be replaced by recycling.

Can't stop thinking about this and go: ☹️
"The reason we don't have fusion already is because we, as a civilization, never decided that it was a priority. Fusion funding is literally peanuts: In 2016, the US spent twice as much on peanut subsidies as on fusion research."
Climate VCs may be coming up against some serious tension.
Market slowdown vs climate urgency
If expert are saying we have 5 years to act before climate change is irreversible how do you think about inflation? Gut check time.
Urgent calls from front - "please bring us body armour". Pleas for resources across continents yield nothing. Sorry need to beg here - if any1 can help w purchase of body armour quickest way through PayPal. Also have account in Europe for same if needed. https://t.co/HzM6nUrrVe
@LumberTrading 2/2... #2 oligopsony in sawmill sector: a) small number of controlling public companies post 2007 downturn; b) barriers to entry into sawmill sector at meaningful scale too great given constrained log supply
"For a decade and a half, reduction in clear-cutting has been promised but not delivered," says Plourde. "It's delay and log. Study and log. Think and log. Promise and log."
@MichaelTGorman Was there any mention in the Leg of the 2 yr delay to Lahey? Were there any questions as to why from the Liberals or NDP? @IainTRankin@GaryBurrill Similar delay in 2013 to 50% red. in clearcut caused the McNeil to promise the Review in 2017
@Tim_Bousquet In 2013 when McNeil came into govt, they were convinced to delay implement of the reduction in clearcutting announced by NDP. By 2015 they threw out the vol planning strategy altogether. Winning slowly here is the same as losing @EACwilderness
@TimHoustonNS Respectfully, please explain the delay in implementing the Lahey Report on Crown. NSans involved since 2008 VolPlanning deserve as much @ToryRushton Reminds of similar delay in first 2 years of McNeil's govt.
