Knowing the challenges that exist for instructors who use OER, what can non-faculty #OER advocates such as librarians, policy advocates, administrators, instructional designers, #edtech professionals and others do better to appeal to faculty? (2018) https://t.co/8GpQqADGRK
@Damien_Me_show@eLearnMag@simoneconceicao This article on infographics was so comprehensive! It was almost a tutorial & offered so many helpful resources. The research cited convinced me that I definitely need a few infographics as summary tools for my online classes. The article has broad appeal !Thanks Damien.
@actualham I like online over remote. It speaks to the modality. If we are online learning we still expect rich, meaningful interaction. Synch or asynch. When we are at a distance, we expect content and instructor interaction, but we remain separated by time and space.
#digpins@eLearnMag is a publication that provides practical applications for research on technology, teaching, and learning. It is a good example of making topics accessible to folks outside the field. Check out: https://t.co/QuWq2gje6L

@Autumm@joefromkenyon@TaylorJadin#digPins I have had the great fortune of working with some of the brightest, most thoughtful people in my field. I am certain my cohort feels the same!!
@thatpsychprof thank you for sharing your critical stance, radical empathy, and #OER#OpenEducation as social amelioration with the Summer 19 #digpins cohort!
Week 1 Identity blog posts for #DigPINS are starting to roll in. This time around we set up a blog hub at https://t.co/A4EIp6l3YM that pulls in all the posts from the 4 cohorts into one place!

@JasonHartgrave I schedule heavy via Tweetdeck for events, conf. sessions etc., but that’s the only numbers game. Authentic and genuine interaction (often via DM) is where the magic lies (imo).
@geonz@Jessifer @WILU2019 That’s about right. I also notice students (hell, grown adults out in the world) who still fail to understand order of operations.
@geonz@Jessifer @WILU2019 Yes. Threshold concepts are critical. I struggled with Math as an undergrad...turns out I had a gap in my understanding of mixed numbers from elementary school. Hard to build on a shaky foundation. But is prerequisite knowledge the same as scaffolding?
