Temperatures are rising across various parts of the country. These conditions may cause heat stress, especially in Benue, Nasarawa, the Federal Capital Territory, Kogi, Niger, Kebbi, Cross River, Oyo, Ogun, and other inland areas of the southern states.
⚠️ The public is urged to take essential precautions.
✅ Safety Tips:
💧 Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
🏠 Remain in well-ventilated or air-conditioned spaces where possible.
🧢 Wear hats, sunshades, and sunscreen when outdoors.
👕 Choose light, breathable clothing.
👶 Keep infants cool and well-hydrated.
🚗 Never leave children in a closed, parked vehicle.
⏳ Limit strenuous activities and stay indoors during the hottest hours (12:00 pm – 4:00 pm).
