We’re so obsessed with collective L’s and coping with mid distractions that we ratio’d our own chill happiness and personal accountability. Touch grass, find real joy, stop letting the group chat run your life frfr. 🗣️✨
Part 1.
“So much are we now involved in problems of human groups, so persistent are the portrayals of our social afflictions, and so well do we magnify our woes by insisting on them, so much in sheer weariness do we provide antidotes to soothe our feelings……..cont.
I asked Grok to translate to Gen Z.
We’re so cooked rn—literally drowning in all these big group/society problems (like politics, inequality, climate, all that drama). The timeline and news stay spamming us with how messed up everything is, no cap.
—no filters, no flexing, just pure joy. And we also stop separating what we as individuals are actually responsible for, from the chaotic, irresponsible mess that big crowds and “society” create (like we blame “the system” for everything and never look at our own actions).
TL;DR:
Netflix binges, TikTok rabbit holes, shopping hauls, parties, whatever numbs the brain and helps us forget for a sec. But these are all lowkey empty and mid af.
Because of all that, we straight-up forget how to just vibe and feel simple, real personal happiness—
We keep hyping up our problems by constantly venting and dwelling on them, making everything feel 10x worse.
Then we get straight-up exhausted from all the doomscrolling and negativity, so we cope by hitting the distractions heavy:
Part 2
“and to cause us to forget by means of many empty diversions, that we may neglect to express ourselves in simple free personal joy and to separate the obligation of the individual from the irresponsibilities of the mass.”

@JRcowfarmer It was sold as efficiency. You will make more money with less work. It was great if you survived. What they didn’t tell you is that your local businesses, schools, churches, hospitals, banks, butchers and bakers would also have to bow at the alter of efficiency and die as well.
@BenRiensche Look back another 10 years and you will see all of the Homesteads that were on those acres that couldn’t make it. They were usually the marginal land that was too difficult to farm with small equipment. Rocks, woods, poor drainage.
@jdfarmernd If the grass you are grazing is deficient in Copper, it is a good chance your soil is as well. Copper may show on a soil test, but if you have excess phosphorus and nitrogen they may be tying it up. That is research from Andre Voisin.
