@jonbrooks Same search for indianapolis returns 1,135 homes just within city limits. Dallas shows about 400. And these are single-family homes, not condos.
@jonbrooks A 10 second Zillow search for Phoenix shows about 70 homes at that price or below, just in the boundaries of Phoenix. Expend to the metro area, and you've got 271 to choose from. And that's just the asking price.

Some real estate markets have gone crazier, but when compared to other cost increases over the same time, 33% isn't that crazy.

But if the buyers stop buying, and at these prices they should, sellers gotta drop price or hold the property. Simple.

But I can't say "sellers are insane" for wanting to get maximum sales price of their house. They may or may not get it, but you'd sell for the max you could get, too.
