the same experience with a language teacher. A long retired teacher schooled during ww2. - vocab check - 2 mins every lesson, grammar - introduce, revise next lesson with new words, test in lesson 3. Next charter - repeat. “Modern” teacher a year later taught us literary nothing - as we did 2 years in 1

I wonder if anyone else has the same experience. I ordered via @JustEatUK . Delivery time 30 mins. 30 mins later, the delivery time was 50 mins. I called the place and they told me "no courier", they've already re-done the order once. So I drove there, ordered on premises and had my dinner an hour later.

I asked the restaurant to cancel they couldn't - "do it in the app". No such option in the app.

3.5 hours after placing the order, the courier woke me up, asking for a code. Im thinking - ok, the @FiveGuysUK got screwed over. If I don't give them a code, they courier gets screwed over as well. JustEat, clearly, will accept that delivery 3 hours late as "no delivery".

Well, no such thing - apparently, if you don't want it any more - don't give them the code.

I just can't believe there's no way to cancel the order or expiration on the order. That the restaurant probably had to re-do the order 4-5x absorbing the cost.

Well, @JustEatUK emailed me back 2 days later - you gave the code, money is ours. ... they lost me.

They were surely yummy - but binned in the morning as delivered.

Is social media really so much worse than “proper newspapers”. Sure anyone can post subjectively but you can easily find full clips, texts, etc - Grok here is something of a game changer - you don’t have to search, just click. I’m yet to see articles in UK newspapers that would add links to the source information they are based on.

Just because a bias is not not obvious doesn’t mean it’s less harmful.
