@TheZvi Should be most Claude users' new daily driver^. It's really excellent, and even as someone who has spent a fair bit of money on Fable I just don't miss it with Opus 5.

Imagining being the cyber defender and you are getting hacked but all the hacker is doing is browsing through your cybersecurity data sets, so surreal.
So, you (or the model you've prompted) has proved or provided a counterexample to an open conjecture! What's next?
- Check if it's correct!
- Try to understand what new ideas, if any, have been introduced. Do they have any further applications? How are they related to the rest of math?
- Try to understand different PoV's on the argument. Can you digest/illuminate it further?
- Why is it interesting? What does it tell you about the objects in question? Does it raise any new questions?
- Start trying to solve those new questions!

@hankgreen It's tricky, right? Hard to defend medium-sized margins when someone elsewhere in the value chain can open source something that competes directly with you

@TheZvi This is a weird thing because image generation has become a major part of my recent workflow and codex is at this point close enough to Claude that I seriously considered answering GPT
@TheZvi Good model. For the large open-ended (code/arch) queries that I've used with Fable it's also quite good (and characteristically comprehensive). But it is expensive.
A fast model of this caliber is going to be unbelievably game-changing

@littmath What does the shape of open questions in math start to look like? In a few years, one could imagine large open questions that are still Hard or computationally intensive, but lots of longstanding "easier" problems are solved.
Do we focus on research directions? Something else?
