Part of the problem: we have for too long called the system the “criminal justice system”… we must change it to the “criminal AND victim justice system.” Until we do that, victims will be overlooked and sadly left at the sideline. We MUST change this narrative. Now is the time. Join me and throw away the old term and replace it with “criminal and victim justice system.” Let NO victim be forgotten or cast aside.

Defendant’s rights to fairness and due process should NEVER erase the rights of victims and achieving true and just verdicts.

After the judge declared a mistrial in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial on Friday, Plymouth District Attorney Tim Cruz emphasized that the case was about getting justice for the child victims — Cora, Dawson and Callan.

"It is our job to make sure that the victims are not invisible, to make sure that they're not forgotten," Cruz said.

States like California do not screen voter registration applications for citizenship. Every non-citizen registered to vote dilutes a lawful citizen’s vote. We need to audit California’s dirty voter rolls.

🚨 Election Fraud Arrests Begin

This morning we arrested and federally charged a Honduran national for unlawfully registering to vote in California and falsely claiming to be a U.S. citizen.

Darwin Jonathan Rivera Flores, 30, of Winnetka, is charged with two felonies and faces deportation if convicted.

Because states like California allow non-citizens to easily register to vote and receive a ballot by mail, there is no telling how many non-citizens are currently registered.

It is time for California to comply with @AAGDhillon’s request for a comprehensive audit of its voter rolls to protect the integrity of our elections.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

I hope and pray that Mr. Platek realizes that he has now been given grace twice in resolutions that he did not deserve for two criminal cases. I pray that he will recognize that he needs to change his life and that he will seek God and obtain His forgiveness that is truly priceless.

Every single day, prosecutors and law enforcement officers fight to ensure that the people we protect can feel safe at work and at home.

When one of us is attacked, every prosecutor feels it. A retaliatory act of violence against a prosecutor is an attack on the very institution of justice we have sworn to defend. No threat, no act of violence, and no attempt at intimidation will dictate how prosecutors carry out their sworn duties.

The brazen stabbing of a Fresno County prosecutor is a chilling reminder of the risks prosecutors face every day as they stand up for victims, protect the public, and pursue justice. The idea that a prosecutor could be targeted with violence in retaliation for carrying out that responsibility should outrage every person who believes in the rule of law.

Let us be clear: violence and intimidation will never coerce prosecutors or law enforcement into abandoning our constitutional duties. Anyone who believes attacking a prosecutor will weaken our resolve fundamentally misunderstands who we are and what we have sworn to do.
