Two summers ago we visited the biggest hydro plant of the chain in Radisson, Quebec. It makes 3x the power of Seabrook. It's a fascinating tour but you have to be sure you are there on the one day in the week that they offer it in English. They explained that it makes sense for us to buy their power because Montreal heats with it in the winter and we cool with it in the summer.
Thomas Sowell: “It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong.”
@MaineGirl1717 I also visited but from sister state Vermont. I didn’t see any homeless people?! And the stores gave me free plastic bags at checkout?! And the liquor stores are significantly cheaper!
Went to NH this weekend. Things I noticed that are different than Maine.
DOT picks up trash along the roads and not leave it there as it piles up like Maine. We have trash everywhere.
People were extremely polite.
Roads aren’t riddled with potholes.
Minimum pride flags.
@TheCarolineMc@Ross_Berry@NewHampJournal Isn't the DMV about the same everywhere? I've lived as an adult in four states and can't recall any great differences in the procedure for getting a license.
There are no high solar & wind, low cost nations
You are told that solar and wind are cheap
But cramming in more solar and wind just makes electricity more and more costly
because solar and wind are worthless when not sunny and windy

House Republicans would like to invite @NHHouseDems to Ways and Means on April 15th.
If you really oppose income tax like your leadership claims, this is your opportunity to prove it.
Your voting records say one thing. Your leadership says another. Time to face the truth.
@IntrepidKnights@vxunderground Lobbying is a first amendment right (petition for redress of grievances). Companies are groups of individuals and have the same first amendment rights. There's no real difference in lobbying by corporations and lobbying or other political activity by Soros or Koch.
March 10th is local town election day in NH.
Unfortunately, the voter turnout is very low every year.
Mark your calendars now.
Go to your town clerk's office to register to vote, find out the polling place, schedule time off to show up.
The Tenth Amendment says the federal government can only do things expressly listed in the Constitution -- every other federal activity is illegal.
That list, in entirety:
1. Mint gold and silver coins (*not* paper money)
2. Establish citizenship rules
3. Post offices and post roads
4. Bankruptcy, counterfeiting, piracy laws
5. Patents and copyrights
6. Regulate commerce with foreign nations, between states, and with Native tribes
7. Declare war; maintain army, navy, and militia
8. Establish lower federal courts
9. Exercise authority over Washington, D.C.
That means roughly 80% of federal spending is, in fact, illegal.
250 years ago our fore fathers gave New Hampshire the first Constitution in the country, making us the first in freedom.
250 years later we're still first in freedom!
Happy Birthday, New Hampshire!
@JeffConard33@SenMullin It can't be the case that one minority Senator has more power than the other 99. Therefore, the problem is not just Sanders, but Sanders plus three dozen others.
