The Moonโs got a big new crater! ๐ณ๏ธ
Spotted by NASAโs Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, the McGetchin crater formed when a rock as big as a six-story building crashed into the Moon. Itโs 141 feet deep and wider than the length of two football fields.๐ชจ๐ฅ๐

@_manuvers@MisogynyCope@nw3 They donโt sound shocked? I donโt think youโre right on that, Kelly was on the verge of tears towards the end. Their show was an upbeat fun one, not a news channel. They were just reacting with the info that was slowly coming to them and trying to remain professional
You know he was probably beating himself up about being late, thinking that he just fucked his future plans, only to realize being late is the reason he has a future at all. Holy fuck
@DuckBurger4@ellie5661 Iโll only act like that if itโs 10 min before close or something with a ridiculous amount of modifications, at that point you should just be cooking at home
Jesus Christ. I never heard about this. But I guess it makes sense. My cousin, who worked the site for months, said that a large portion of the remains were mostly small fragments of people. A finger a shoe with a foot in it, part of a jaw, a bone fragment here, a vertebrae there
George Bush quit playing golf after starting the Iraq War. "I don't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander-in-chief playing golf," he said.
"I feel I owe it to the families to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during war just sends the wrong signal."
Meanwhile, Trump started his war AT his Florida golf course and has spent every single weekend since on the links.
And WE foot the bill.
For both the war AND the golf.
911 - HE WAS THE JANITOR๐
And on September 11, 2001 the key in his pocket suddenly became one of the most important keys in America.
His name was William Rodriguez.
He had worked at the World Trade Center for roughly 20 years.
That morning, Rodriguez was in the basement of the North Tower when American Airlines Flight 11 struck the building.
Chaos erupted.
A badly burned man appeared.
Rodriguez helped him.
Then he could have gotten out.
He went back โฆ Because Rodriguez had something almost nobody else in that building had:
A MASTER KEY ๐
It opened the stairwell doors throughout the North Tower.
Firefighters and police were rushing into a building thousands of terrified people were trying to escape.
Rodriguez knew the building.
And he had the key.
So he went UP with the rescuers.
Floor after floor.
Door after door.
Unlock. Open. Keep moving.
People were coming down.
Rodriguez kept going up.
He reportedly made it as high as the 39th floor before firefighters ordered him to turn around.
Think about that.
The building had been struck by a passenger jet.
Smoke was spreading.
People were desperately trying to get OUT.
And the janitor was climbing farther INSIDE.
Rodriguez eventually made it back down and survived.
But approximately 200 people he knew at the World Trade Center did not.
25 years later he still carries the memories of that morning.
And he still has the master key.
We remember the firefighters.
We remember the police officers.
We remember the passengers who fought back.
๐ฅWe should also remember the janitor with the key.
William Rodriguez wasnโt carrying a badge.
He wasnโt carrying a weapon.
He was carrying something much simpler.
A key.
And when America was attacked, he used what he had to help save whoever he could.
Never forget William Rodriguez.
