@LittleMsTwitch@GovBobFerguson You people really will go to any lengths to defend his behavior. He absolutely is not making a joke of speaking "figuratively".
@Siggy__1@mario4thenorth I agree with your assessment. If you read between the lines, this headline says that Canadian voters want nothing to do with any of the opposition leaders. Frankly, I think the Conservative party is in need of an overhaul.
@AGORACOM@MarkJCarney@Keir_Starmer Your statement assumes that they will have excesses of the same goods we will, which is just not the case. I chose lumber and foods as examples earlier for a reason. None of the countries I listed will have excess of those goods, but we will and they will need them. Same with oil
@AGORACOM@MarkJCarney@Keir_Starmer Nobody said the U.K. was going to take all our excess, but the U.K., France, Australia and Japan might. This would give us the added advantage of protecting us from being in this same position in the future.
@AGORACOM@MarkJCarney@Keir_Starmer Why would we want to make a deal with a country that won't honor the agreement. We made that mistake in 2018. It's time to diversify our trade. The U.K. might not buy our cars, but they will buy our lumber, crude oil, various foods, etc.
