Remember Republican Rep. Austin McCollum?
His domestic battery charge was just upgraded to a felony. He’s now facing three felony charges.
Remember, he allegedly told his wife to “clean herself up” before the cops got there.
Family values and
Shit.✨
Ken Paxton got a $250,000 donation from the chair of Texas Tech’s Board of Regents.
The next day, he threatened to sue the Big 12 to protect Brendan Sorsby, the Tech quarterback who was caught illegally betting on his games.
Ken Paxton is the most corrupt politician in Texas.
@TomCottonAR Tom Cotton wants a victory lap because some Arkansas families saved a couple hundred dollars on charitable giving while his tax package cut deeply into Medicaid and SNAP costing Americans TRILLIONS of dollars in benefits!!!.
That’s not putting working families first.

Beginning today, your congressman can sign a discharge petition to force a vote on Epstein Files Transparency Act II.
EFTA II gives state AGs access to Epstein files required to prosecute perpetrators under state law, and makes it easier for survivors to sue to get their files.
@mcuban If part of the American experiment is billionaires losing a few billion in taxes and still having a hundred billion left over… I’m ready to see that part.
Citizens United turned our elections into auctions for billionaires.
You can’t be “pro-democracy” or “pro-election integrity,” if you’re not fighting to overturn Citizens United.
Reuters spent three weeks in Arkansas telling a story that starts with farmers, but it is about so much more than farming.
It is about what happens when hardworking people do everything right and still can’t get ahead.
Farmers are losing farms. Teachers can’t afford to live on their salaries. Families are getting crushed by health care, groceries, utilities, and housing. Small businesses are struggling. Young people wonder whether there is a future for them here.
I know what it feels like to work hard, build something, and still watch the economics stop making sense.
I didn’t plan to run for office. I planned to farm.
But when I couldn’t farm anymore, I decided to fight for the people who are getting squeezed just like my family was.
Because this isn’t just a farm crisis.
It’s an Arkansas crisis.
And I believe we can fix it.
I believe in Arkansas.
Coming home to help with family.
Watching things change too fast.
Pummeled by markets bigger than us.
Balancing faith, politics & no one in D.C. doing a damn thing.
I'm all in for @hallieshoffner because her story is OUR story. All gas, no brakes.

Amazon: “We made $470B but spent $469.9B so we only owe taxes on $100M”
IRS: “Perfectly legal.”
You: “I made $61,000 and spent $59,200 keeping my kid alive and my lights on.”
IRS: “That’s not a business expense.”
You: “Rent isn’t a business expense?”
IRS: “Correct.”
You: “Insulin isn’t a business expense?”
IRS: “Correct.”
You: “Then what am I running here?”
IRS: “A household. File by May 15.”
You: “Amazon runs a household too. It’s called ‘reinvesting in the business.’”
IRS: “…”
You: “So if I call my rent ‘reinvesting in my ability to show up to work,’ we’re good?”
IRS: “No.”
You: “Why not?”
IRS: “Because you’re not a corporation.”
You: “Right. I’m just the guy the corporation depends on to survive on less than it spent on legal fees to pay less taxes.”
IRS: “File by May 15.”
🇺🇸 Marjorie Taylor Greene says she has some pretty nasty text messages that were sent to her by Trump...
"When Trump called me a traitor, I got very direct death threats on my own son...
When I told the president and texted him about it explicitly and sent him pictures of these death threats that were coming in on my own son, he told me:
"It’s your fault. You deserve it."
And I have those text messages saved. I will save them forever.
I have shown them to many people. I haven’t put them out publicly, but I have them."
How could you say something like that to a woman who was one of your BIGGEST supporters???

The bottom 94% of US workers pay into Social Security with 100% of their paycheck.
The top 6% pay into it with only a fraction of theirs.
Scrap the cap on Social Security, so we can fully fund Social Security.
Let us continue to pray for peace. Saint Augustine, whose feast we celebrated a few days ago, said that peace “is like the miraculous bread multiplied in the hands of the disciples as they broke it and distributed it” (Sermo 357, 2). May there be an increase in the world of those who courageously break and share the bread of peace, overcoming divisions, promoting justice and practicing forgiveness for the good of all.
This is unacceptable behavior by Arkansas “law enforcement.”
This man needs to be discharged, investigated, and arrested.
@ARStatePolice
What’s your excuse for this barbaristic behavior from one of your finest?
Not to mention these giant corporations own the smaller corporations that are each others competitors.
We don’t live in a free market, we live in an oligopoly ran by trillion dollar corporations.
In 1995, four companies controlled 25% of the grocery market. You paid $70 a week.
Today, four companies control over 65%. You pay $290.
And the boxes shrank while the price tripled:
- Cereal: 20oz → 12oz
- Chips: 16oz → 8oz
- “Half gallon” of ice cream: 1.5 quarts
Same shelf. Smaller product. Triple the price. Fewer companies deciding all of it.
Prices didn’t rise. They were raised.
