@BjCruickshank@mitchjdjd1 This happened to me in an interview. I told him which school I attended, and he slid my application form back across the glass topped desk, and it fell on the floor. That'll be that then, goodbye.
The triple lock brings the new state pension still well under the national living wage.If you perceive that wage as the minimum base line for a decent life , then the pension should be viewed as the same. The old and vulnerable need warm homes, nutritious food and a chance to maintain health without nhs intervention. To reduce what is the lowest pension in Europe to less, is a punishment for the elderly and blatant discrimination against living longer.
You cannot use funding social care as a weapon to diminish the lives of those who have earned a decent, healthy retirement via contributing to those pensioners who went ahead of them . It’s a form of national service.
We're now being conditioned to accept £2.00 a litre for petrol as normal - you know, because of the 'cost of living crisis' and 'war'.
At the same time fuel companies make record profits.
Something ain't right.
@msm_monitor How can this be presented as anything other than good news? The bus company they interviewed were really supportive of the initiative, but this is their headline
1920: Churchill sent armoured cars and the ‘Black and Tans’ to Ireland. A rag-tag outfit of demob soldiers/ ex-cons responsible for numerous atrocities, on 21st November 1920 they took part in the Croke Park Massacre at a Gaelic football game killing 14 and injuring 80 civilians.
