The UK government's '3 Day Survival Kit' to protect citizens against those nasty Russians is laughable.
It reminds me of when the UK government was telling people in the 1970s that they could survive a nuclear attack from same Russians by building a lean-to in their living rooms.

Does Ken McCallum of MI5 have 'a career long habit of making things up'?

McCallum is the Glaswegian, apparently 'relatable', head of MI5 facing yet more accusations of manufacturing an Iranian terrorist threat to justify increasingly hostile policies towards Tehran and indeed towards Shia Muslim and the broader anti-imperialist movement in the UK.

McCallum appears to have a serial inability to live top to the 'duty of candour' formally expected of public servants.

A Campaign Against Antisemitism steward was filmed by Al Jazeera offering to provide “muscle” at a rally organised by Turning Point UK, a far right group that Al Jazeera revealed to have links to Loyalist paramilitary contract killers.

The CAA was already thoroughly discredited last December when a judge ruled a case it had brought against the comedian Reginald Hunter was “vexatious” and “abusive” and aimed purely at getting him “cancelled”. So horrified was the judge by their behaviour he instructed a copy of his ruling to be attached to any future legal action brought by the CAA.

It is astonishing the CAA still has charitable status and more astonishing still that the BBC interviews it as being representative of the Jewish community.

We got a furious response from the former Conservative minister Lord Michael Gove when we asked about his position on Israel at the Labour Conference.

Gove claimed he knew more about antisemitism than Zack Polanski, the only Jewish leader of a major political party in the UK. He also accused us of not being journalists and of an obsession with Israel, despite the Labour government's change in position on the occupation of Palestine being the key topic at this year's conference.

Gove now sits in the House of Lords and is editor of right-wing magazine The Spectator.
