Apple just made the touchscreen MacBook Pro official, glowing logo included. Here's what you need to know. The rumors were right. Apple announced the overhauled MacBook Pro at its "Pro and Tell" event in LA on October 28, 2026. It's the first Mac with a full multi-touch display. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman noted Apple resisted a touch screen for two decades, and it's now a must-have in the PC industry. John Ternus's 5-second teaser was the hint. It has now passed 2.5M views, with 37K likes and 3.4K reposts. It pointed to the glowing Apple logo on the lid, which is back on the MacBook Pro. After the reveal, Ternus posted a new clip, "We're glowing with excitement over the new MacBook Pro. You've gotta touch it to believe it." Apple's store went down for a while during the event. The pricing leak held up too. Gurman confirmed the numbers, and the old non-touch MacBook Pros stay on sale at their prior prices. Key numbers: - 14-inch: $2,899 - 16-inch: $3,399 - Chips: M5 Pro and M5 Max - Display: tandem OLED with touch - Old models stay at prior prices, which were $2,499 and $2,999 The 14-inch is now the priciest starting price on a new MacBook Pro.
