🍿 🎥 🦖 East London - and a super early painting session back in my favourite place to paint! I wanted to create a mural with some of my iconic film and comic influences - Godzilla and all things Japanese / Manga / Anime - alongside some old torn 1980’s movie posters!
Brick Lane from a little while back - one of my more textural geisha - on a lighter background - delicate and beautiful I really like the overall softness to this - even with the tagging elements it retains a subtlety that is very appealing
Episode 1 of ‘The Mural Hunter’ - in this episode he’s on the hunt for a wild herd of ‘Muralists’ deep in the urban jungle - watch to find out if he manages to find them! #muralists#hunter#comedy#spoof#wildlife
‘Nothing to see here’ - continuing on from ‘Turn around’ I wanted to explore the nature of social media and its relentless hunger for creative content - the back of the canvas still in its wrapper becomes the image itself - nothing becomes something
…. will this painting receive as many likes and comments as a ‘traditional’ painting - where days are spent creating a detailed and intricate works of art - a simple swipe and both are dismissed and the viewer moves onto the next piece of content - both paintings are viewed ….
