@JamieBrysonLLB Hahahahahah it was only voted to go up for one day, it was taken down at tea time as expected, not because of any court ruling ๐๐
@carlalockhart it was supposed to be Saturday to mark a worldwide day in solidarity with Palestine. Nobody had any issues with the council lighting up city hall in the colours of Ukraine so why now?? Grow up Carla and show some empathy to fellow human beings rather than playground politics
We are so excited to announce that following an 8-week restoration programme, the Mayoral lamp posts in front of Ulster Hall are now back to their former glory and shining bright indeed. They were officially inaugurated my the Lord Mayor @Tracybelfast1 on Wed 5th Nov.
@jggb1@ChrisMccracken_ I don't think they are listed structures and regardless of this they have been restored to their most recent colour, they were already black and gold. The colour they were in the photos shown were likely not the original either, they've changed over the years
Only a handful of tickets left for our Document Belfast Ghost/History Tour of the city centre on Thursday 30 October. We'll be telling ghost stories and taking you to some gruesomely ghoulish spots around Belfast. Book via the link in our bio #Belfast@VisitBelfast

As work is progressing well on the historic lamp posts in front of @UlsterHall it's time to reveal some samples of how the restored version will appear.
The posts are known as the Mayoral Lamps and would have been installed at the Belfast Lord Mayor's residence until the 1990s.
New tour announcement! Trialling out "Secret Belfast" tour on Saturday 30 August, tickets are limited so if interested in joining drop us an email or click the link in Bio and enquire #Belfast#visitireland

Went on what has to be one of the longest pub crawls in the world, visiting the Dead Rabbit establishments, run by Belfast man Jack McGarry, in the US. NYC to Austin and back again. Check it out via the link below and give her a wee like #Belfast#Guinness

Back from Austin Texas and got assigned a driverless taxi by Uber. What are your thoughts on these? It was a great ride but I do worry about them replacing actual drivers. Maybe good for busy nights as a bolster? #Belfast

The despicable COMMUNITIES Minister @gordonlyons1 releases the location openly online of those being sheltered in Larne Leisure Centre after being burned out of Ballymena,THEN complains when people attack the leisure centre! @MatthewOToole2 well done on holding him accountable!
