Okay, a little something for your Ponderation. Elon Musk and DOGE cut 271,000 federal jobs. Then the federal spending increased by $248 billion dollars. Of that $248 billion, how much did Elon Musk's companies receive in government contracts? $845 million.

So, DOGE did absolutely nothing to lower federal spending. It only helped Musk put more money in his pockets and expose our personal information.

After all, Musk did spend $270 million to get Trump elected.

BREAKING: Trump's $10 billion BBC lawsuit is BACKFIRING BIGLY and may force Special Prosecutor Jack Smith's January 6 evidence back into the courtroom

After making $16 million from Paramount/CBS to settle one of his frivolous lawsuits, Donald Trump figured he could keep suing media companies and rake in the dough from corporate CEOs who would rather give in than face a protracted and expensive legal fight.

But Trump got greedy and wanted a $10 billion payday from his next target, Britain’s venerable public broadcaster, the BBC.

What he's getting instead is a legal nightmare of his own making.

Trump sued the BBC last December, claiming a documentary on their news program Panorama, "put words in his mouth" by editing together portions of his January 6th speech delivered nearly 50 minutes apart.

He even bizarrely claimed the network used AI to fabricate his words — it didn't. The BBC did splice the footage, which sparked an internal investigation, the firing of some senior officials at the broadcaster, and the issuing of a written apology.

An apology simply wasn't enough for Trump, however. He still wanted that $10 billion.

Now his lawsuit against the British broadcaster is unraveling spectacularly.

A federal judge ruled this week that Trump must hand over detailed financial records from more than 400 companies tied to his family trust — because HIS OWN lawsuit claims the BBC's editing damaged his businesses.

You can't claim massive financial injury and then refuse to show your books. Judge Enjoliqué Lett wasn't buying the attempted dodge: "All of President Trump's brand, properties and businesses are impugned... Reputational, economic damages, all of that is now at issue in this case."

It gets worse. The same judge greenlit subpoenas targeting Trump's inner circle — Donald Trump Jr., Steve Bannon, and Stephen Miller — to determine what Trump actually intended on January 6th.

And now, in a third gut-punch within 24 hours, the BBC is demanding records showing exactly how Trump LOST his executive privilege claims during Special Prosecutor Jack Smith's January 6th investigation.

Smith's team had already gathered evidence establishing that the Capitol violence was "foreseeable" to Trump, that he "caused it," and that he made "a conscious choice not to stop it" once it began. If the BBC gets that evidence, Trump's entire defamation case collapses.

Trump built a career suing media outlets into silence. This time, he sued an organization willing to actually fight — and in doing so, handed prosecutors a roadmap straight into his finances, his inner circle, and his own conduct on January 6th.

Plus, the public may get another chance to review the evidence that Jack Smith amassed against Trump, evidence that judges appointed by the litigious president have made sure that he’ll never be held accountable for.

Sometimes a lawsuit is simply a trap you built for yourself.

The war has entered a new phase, and there is hope that it will be the final phase for Russia.

Ukrainian strikes have evolved from numerous but isolated attacks into a systematic campaign.

Ukraine has created a system designed to suffocate Russia. In a single sentence, here are the targets: logistics, oil refineries, the defense industry, ammunition depots, airfields, aircraft, air defense systems, headquarters, communications, the war's energy infrastructure, warships, ports, occupied Crimea, major distribution hubs, and psychological pressure on the Russian rear... Whew, that's quite a list. Ukraine is striking Russia often, on a large scale, and with significant impact.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are methodically dismantling everything that sustains Russia's war effort. They are depriving Russia of weapons, fuel, money, transportation, secure rear areas, and the sense of being untouchable.

In the fifth year of the war, it has become clear that the military machine of the so-called "world's second army" does not have to be destroyed in a single blow. It can be taken apart piece by piece.

Russia's war machine can be stripped of everything it needs to move, shoot, and fight. Through carefully planned strikes, Ukraine is steadily reducing Russia's ability to wage war.

Found liable for business fraud and originally slapped with a penalty topping 450 million dollars, later thrown out on appeal while the fraud finding itself stuck to him anyway.
First president in modern history to increase the deficit every single year of a full term. Fiscal responsibility, apparently, was always just a talking point.
Kept the debt to GDP ratio above 100 percent for his entire first term.
Presided over the largest single day point drop in Dow Jones history at the time. So much for the guy who claimed to be a genius with money.
Set the record for the longest government shutdown in US history in his first term at 35 days, then couldn’t resist beating his own miserable record in his second term with a 43 day shutdown, followed by yet another shutdown just months later. Encore nobody asked for.
Added roughly 2.25 trillion dollars to the national debt in his first year back in office alone, pushing the debt past 39 trillion dollars.
Somebody remind me who the party of fiscal discipline is again.
Pushed through the largest defense budget increase since World War Two while the debt kept climbing anyway.
Purged more than 300,000 federal employees in his first year back.
Efficient, if your goal is chaos.
Pardoned nearly 1,600 January 6 Capitol rioters on his very first day back in office, including Oath Keepers and Proud Boys leaders convicted of seditious conspiracy.
Law and order, except when it’s inconvenient.
At least 40 of those pardoned rioters have already been rearrested, charged, or sentenced for new crimes since walking free. Shocking absolutely nobody.
His family’s crypto ventures, including a meme coin and World Liberty Financial, pulled in more than 1.4 billion dollars in disclosed earnings while he sat in the Oval Office.
Draining the swamp was apparently code for filling his own pockets.
Sent the National Guard into American cities at a cost of nearly 500 million taxpayer dollars in 2025 alone.
His own tariffs are projected to cost the average American household more than 2,500 dollars this year.
You’re paying for this. Not China. You.
Now sitting at one of the lowest approval ratings of his second term, stuck in the high 30s while inflation and gas prices make everyday life harder.
None of this is a conspiracy theory, a rumor, or something you saw in a group chat.
It is the actual, documented record, sitting in plain sight for anyone willing to look.

The fact that Todd Blanche has refused to comply with the court order to release the Epstein files following Katie Phang's lawsuit, should have ended his bid to become AG, and be a more significant story.
The fact that the Epstein Estate ACTUALLY PAID a settlement to one of the women who alleged that Donald Trump raped her as a minor, and it was paid AFTER Epstein died, as told under oath by Epstein's longtime accountant, should be a more significant story.
The fact that Trump said he wasn't ever on Epstein's plane and then we found out he was, should be a more significant story.
The fact that senior officials gathered in the Situation Room to concoct and coordinate an Epstein coverup should be the most significant story of all.
And when you combine ALL these stories and add to it his hiring of Alex Acosta, the birthday card, the innuendo Trump wrote on the card, the movement of Maxwell to a more lenient facility, and then - especially - his persistently panicked behavior on all things Epstein, it really should be the end of his presidency.

​It doesn't cross their minds how unfair it felt when we were just living our lives, bothering no one, in our own country and our own homes, right up until their missiles started tearing our cities apart on a chilly winter morning.

​You want to talk about unfair? People lived in Donbas, built businesses and raised families, until russian nazis arrived with Girkin and his thugs, declaring those people couldn't live there anymore. People evacuated, leaving their homes to Girkin's mob for pennies or nothing at all. They moved to Kharkiv, kept paying mortgages on Donetsk apartments that russians stole or destroyed, because credit history mattered, and rebuilt from scratch. They bought new homes, started new businesses. But bloodthirsty russian bastards found them here too, ruining their lives a second time. Bombing them for years, killing, burning. That is what’s unfair.

​When peaceful families have to hide from Russian bombs inside a theater, that feels unfair. When, hoping for a shred of humanity in their attackers, they paint "CHILDREN" in massive letters outside, and russians bomb it anyway, slaughtering everyone inside, isn't that unfair? When survivors crawl out of the rubble, stepping over neighbors' bodies and the ashes of their homes, only to be dragged into filtration camps, stripped naked, robbed of every even remotely valuable thing, and also basic human dignity just for the "privilege" of fleeing the ruins of their own city, is that not unfair?

In Texas, AG Ken Paxton opened an investigation into 33 potential noncitizen voters in June 2025. Fourteen months later: no charges, no update, nothing.

I've watched Pete Hegseth testify and anyone who does so with an open mind, will readily see that he is a toxic caricature. He has delusions that he is starring in a war movie.
He is arrogant and ignorant. His narrative never has any depth. He speaks as if what's good and what's right are not even complex subjects, or debates borne of perspective.

He is a brazen politician serving an audience of one.
He is a Made for TV concoction, and a vacuous mishmash of hormones and neurotransmitters.
That he's running the US Defense Dept. is incredibly disgraceful, dangerous and disturbing.

I wanted to use Trump's threat to levy 50% tariffs on Canada to discuss the behavioral reasons why I believe Trump is so fixated on tariffs.
Two cornerstone objectives for Trump, especially now that he's playing out his final chapter on Earth, are greed and grandiosity. These two things, which interrelate, permeate everything he craves. He is a giant id. He wants awards, he wants things named after him, he wants $10B here and billions more there, and all of that is but a subset of what he really wants: The knowledge and belief that he can do whatever the f*ck he wants.
The legacy media always tries to understand Trump's stubborn fixations by normalizing him and asking: "What's he thinking?"
Allow me: Trump doesn't think; he feels. He craves.
And he likes how tariffs make him feel, because he can be a bully, impose his will, make and remove threats, and cause countries to do his bidding and pay him tribute arbitrarily. THEY FUEL HIS GRANDIOSITY.
How much more American consumers, businesses, and importers pay, is immaterial. None of that matters to Trump. People don't matter. America doesn't matter.
Bullying, imposing his will, being the center of attention, and threatening others, is the essence of what a malignant narcissist does.
It's like America didn't even elect a person.
It elected a pathology.
