I am proud to support Steve in this very important race. I believe if you take time to evaluate the facts, he’s the only viable candidate.
There is a lot of noise in this race about what the Council has done while Steve has served Lubbock. Here’s what has happened since he joined the Council in 2016:
- More than 14,000 net new jobs created in Lubbock.
- Significant economic development wins including Leprino Foods and X-Fab investing $1.5 Billion in Lubbock.
- Significant (and much needed) investments in Police and Fire facilities while also increasing public safety personnel salaries.
- South Plains College academic campus in Downtown Lubbock.
- Loop 88 funding. Marsha Sharp Freeway widened.
- Federal designation of Interstate 27 route - connecting Lubbock and West Texas fiber, food and fuel to the western US and the world.
- Preston Smith Lubbock International Airport remodeled and upgraded for the first time since the 1970’s.
- Successful Street Bond package to address Lubbock’s biggest needs.
- Creation of a State Veteran’s Cemetery to honor those who have bravely served us.
- AND….the City Tax Rate has been LOWERED by 11.3%.
Steve is a small business owner. Steve is an experienced leader. Steve gets things done.
