Re: @BrendanCarrFCC and the NFL, Amazon and Super Bowl. It is irrelevant, as Amazon couldn't deliver it to 55M+ households in the U.S. Peak streaming viewership, measured in AMA, was 15.5M in 2025. Even years from now, streaming will still be limited in quality AND reach.
@HighDefDiscNews@peacock@DIRECTV It is NOT, repeat NOT "true" or "native" 4K. It is upscaled. NBC put out the details; their contribution feed is 1080p 59.94 fps PQ with 5.1 https://t.co/6t7Jzq5yHN
@UHD4k@NiallGBradley Note that no Super Bowl has ever been streamed in 4K; they have all been upscaled to 4K. FOX will stream the 2026 FIFA World Cup in native 4K.
A recent media story asserts that "most cord cutters/cord nevers are flocking" to YouTube TV which isn't accurate & overlooks the actual numbers. Only 1 out of 5 cord-cutters or possibly fewer, have moved to YouTube TV in the past 1.9 years. https://t.co/LxANjbLVnc Tip @techmeme
@dpat9754@YouTubeTV YouTube very clearly states on their page: If you have a YouTube TV Base Plan trial or paid subscription, you have the option to watch the live game on YouTube TV. The game will be featured on the homepage of the YouTube TV app, or you can go to the NFL page on YouTube TV.
@VerizonSupport As expected, a poor reply from Verizon. I had two other people try the site in different states, with the same error. And it's not "rebooting" your cache, that term referes to the OS. The proper term for the browser is "clearing" the cache. One more week until I'm off Verizon.
@Verizon Can't check the status of the home outage in my area, since your outage page refuses to work. An outage is never good, but not being able to get updates on it is even worse. I can't wait to replace you with @optimum. #fail#verizon#cordcutter#dontuseverizon
I've condensed the key numbers from OTT platforms' Q1 earnings into a list you can read in one minute. The data you need to know, without any fluff. If you are in the industry, you need to know the following: https://t.co/vLMTSH91D6 - #streamingmedia#SVOD#AVOD
YouTube is the winning bidder to stream the NFL game from Brazil on September 5th. YouTube has global rights to the game, and it will be free on YouTube. Expect an announcement this week. https://t.co/e7YaQvrsy1
