Throw back to when I gladly fought for our freedom of expression during our job action...#VoteVito

My school have just said we can have a Press Pause day next week so we get a break from live teaching. Such a good idea for student and staff wellbeing! 😁
Reading tweets of educational professionals it’s clear that #onted is in chaos. This is a result of @fordnation & @Sflecce either being totally incompetent OR completely be design. Either scenario should trouble Ontario and should be reason enough to #voteoutford2022
Doug Ford's "COVID-19 Economic Recovery" Bill 197 passed today. Directors of Edu no longer have to be educators, Environmental Assessments are no longer mandatory. Collective Agreements can be overridden. The 2022 election is critical. We can't let this happen again. #OnPoli
Legislative Assembly of Ontario: Stop Bill 197's Attempt to Allow Non-Educators to Run School Boards - Sign the Petition! https://t.co/OEqnRopLwx via @CdnChange
@Sflecce So #FireLecce wanted to make 4 eLearn courses mandatory knowing full well that not every student had the internet capabilities to fulfil this requirement. Another example of @fordnation being “for the people” 🙄
Ford's e-learning plan:
- Still mandatory
- Still classes of 35+ kids
...now with a complicated opt-out process for parents.
Why not just scrap this risky plan altogether?
After all this, they're *still* ignoring parents, students & educators.

So we have heard excerpts from submissions by Teacher Associations, Trustee Associations, School Boards, Principals and Vice Principals, and Student Trustee Associations. It seems no-one who works, learns, or sits on a board in ON thought increased class size was a good idea!
The CBC's Mike Crawley (@CBCQueensPark) was reporting on the Ontario PC convention when security tried to intervene. That didn't stop Mike, who kept his cool and carried on...
It appears yet again that the @OntarioPCParty dictates what their caucus members can say. The next oops in their attempts to undermine democracy. They were given some latitude this time in changing the form message: @LisaThompsonMPP added a lot more mistruths than @DavidPiccini.
